I enjoy cracker barrel pretty well either which way. But my server, Kimberly went above and beyond on all points. Her attitude and service were better than any place I've eaten ever. I'm visiting from out of town but when I come back to Colombia I will definitely come back just in hopes of having her serve me again. 10/10 recommend for the service if nothing else.
I've always loved Cracker Barrel as a kid because the only time I would go was during a long road trip out of town. Feels super nostalgic and special to go and get the same breakfast I remember as a child. Always get the Mama's Pancake breakfast... with bacon and scrambled eggs. Hard to go wrong with that! Waitress was very friendly and service was fast. I come to this location maybe once every other month. No complaints ????
The food is usually good and consistent at Cracker Barrel, reminiscent of good country food. Like all restaurants, they are suffering an extreme employee shortage. Please give your servers grace....they're the ones who showed up. I was sad to see the homemade sourdough croutons and chunks of Colby cheese have been removed from the salads. Those are fantastic and were missed from my salad! Please bring them back!
We stopped off at this location on a Saturday afternoon while driving home to Charleston from the Upstate. When we pulled into the parking lot, we hesitated to go in because the parking lot was packed! A bus, campers, and many, many cars. However, when I spoke with the hostess who was outside, she assured me it would be 5 minutes or less to be seated. She was very friendly and professional. Fantastic! We went inside and could hear customers being called over the intercom to be seated. So we waited our turn. And waited. And waited…while the hostess inside played with a yo-yo. After noticing that people coming in after us were being seated, I approached a young man at the hostess stand (because the inside hostess was still busy with her yo-yo). He asked for my name, and told us our table was ready. After we were seated, we waited at least 10 minutes (may have been more just going from when I realized we had been there a bit) before anyone came to greet us or ask for our drink orders. Our waitress seemed distracted, or new? I’m not sure, but we had to ask a few times for refills as well as food we ordered that wasn’t brought out. The whole time I was thinking, “hash brown casserole is going to make this experience all better.” Unfortunately, it didn’t. The hash brown casserole was burnt, and my sausage looked like 2 charcoal briquettes had been put on my plate. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
