My 4 girlfriends and I had an excellent experience here!! We were there in 2015 and I still share stories about our wonderful, attentive server, Jeremy and the COLLARDS!! The food was tasty and well prepared. The unlimited collards were absolutely amazing!! I was in awe when bowls of collards would just appear on our table!! Our wonderful server Jeremy gave us the 411 on using vinegar. We are ladies from the Washington DC area and we didn't know about the different types of vinegar that could go on are collards. We had an unforgettable experience there, I mean how else can you explain how I still remember our servers name 6 years later!! I'd definitely return when I'm back in SC!!
Server was SO sweet. Great service and delicious food. Complimentary bread was delicious. They’re good at what they do - one friend got a steak, one got salmon, and I got shrimp and oysters and all of it was great. Also some of the best fries we’ve had, and the fried green tomatoes were awesome. They gave me a complimentary slice of cheesecake for my birthday and overall it was a great experience! We did have a longer than average wait time to receive our food, but it was fine because it was obviously all fresh and cooked to order.
This place is one of my favorites and has great outdoor seating. Historic train station turned into a restaurant also. The collards are the best anywhere!!! I love the shrimp & grits but today I had Charleston Salmon which is very good. The creamy (locally ground grits) will melt in your mouth. I will be back!!!
Always good in my book. Last time I had the chicken. This time I had the salmon. I like my salmon more cooked and flaky. This salmon was medium. It was not bad cooked that way. Had a massive amount of flavor. It came with the rice that didn't taste too fresh. But, in all it was good. The other times I've been there it was on point. I'm thinking I didn't like the food I selected. So, next time I will go back with the fish and chicken.
No doubt, the best meal and drinks I've had in years. I didn't pick up a salt or pepper shaker. Everything was so perfect!! My drinks were real drinks!! I didn't mind spending one dollar there. My husband is still talking about it, an hour later. The service was impeccable!! How here!!! You will not be sorry!!!❤❤❤❤
